  1. WHAT IS SPYWARE ?

  3. Spyware is a small program that installs itself without user knowledge or permission.
  4. Spyware can be installed from software or a web page.

  7. - display advertising pop ups when you are browsing the internet
  8. - collect data on your computer and your browsing habits
  9. - add unwanted toolbars or buttons to Internet Explorer
  10. - slow down your computer

  12. Spyware programs are not viruses and are not detected by classic anti-virus scanners.
  13. In order to protect your system against spyware, you should install a spyware scanner.

  15. We advise you to install a real-time spyware shield such as VirusKeeper.
